STEM Racing got its start in 2014 when teacher and race enthusiast, Brenda Willson noticed the students at her school had a real interest in her love of drag racing and car mechanics. With the rigors of the daily curriculum, Brenda knew there was not enough time in the school day to go in depth, allowing STEM Racing to be designed to serve as an after school program. Held on Thursday's after school, STEM Racing was open to students grades 4-12 and was taught in two sections. Not only did students have the opportunity to talk "cars" Brenda made sure that this was an academic program that integrated car restoration and drag racing with the components of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math- STEM into the lessons held during class , STEM Racing continues to serve as an inspirational, hands-on and educational program proving to have a positive impact on her ever growing class as well as the community.

Whether you decide to volunteer, simply make a donation, or partner with us, you are helping to improve our education in Idaho. We are dedicated to helping students learn how to win and foster STEM thinking.
Even though we are endorsed by the State of Idaho Department of Education, we receive no funding. Through generous supporters like you, we are able to impact a child's education.
Giving to a charity warms your heart and supports our after school program, which makes most people feel pretty darn good. Also feel good that a contribution is a great tax benefit for you or your business.
We are a community supported group.. Nobody in our organization gets paid any salary or any compensation for their dedication and hours. STEM Racing is strictly volunteer run. Your support will cover our expenses such as parts, education supplies, services, food or travel.
